My name is Emrys Mayell. I'm a filmmaker and photographer from the Bay Area.

I've been making short films of all kinds since I was 12 years old, most of which have been with my friend Gabriel Studer-Randall, and together we founded Seventh Direction Films. Short documentaries are my main focus, about everyone from performance artists to my grandmother. I also co-produced and co-DP'ed a feature documentary that's in development.

Along with docs, I also make music videos and promotional material, and take part in some live productions and the occasional scripted short film.

Other hobbies of mine include web design (I coded this site from scratch!) music writing and production, graphic design, architecture, and pretty much any other art form I can get my hands on.
