Seventh Direction Films is an independent film company started in 2021 by Gabriel Studer-Randall and I as a platform for our work as we began our professional film careers. Our main focus is short documentaries, but we've done music videos and live performances as well as a feature length documentary.

Designed in large part by Gabriel, I coded the current version of this site back in early 2025 for Seventh Direction Films' portfolio redesign. Easy navigation and readability are always priorities for me, and this one is as straightforward as they come. The home page is a list of films, each film has its own page with a blurb about the project, a gallery, and a credits list, and there's an About page for the organization. The content is very similar to my own site, an unavoidable consequence of having worked on all of Seventh Direction's projects. Initially, the layout and presentation were also extremely similar to this website, but over time the two have diverged as my personal site has grown to host more than just film projects. I think this is an good example of an effective static portfolio, and I'm proud of the simple but effective design language.
